Audition Information: Voice
All prospective music students must formally apply to Eastern Kentucky University. Detailed instructions regarding the application process may found at the EKU Admissions website.
All students seeking admission into a music major degree program must complete an entrance audition. Prospective students are expected to demonstrate acceptable levels of achievement in performance in terms of intonation, tone quality and rhythmic accuracy. Students may be accepted on probationary status at the discretion of the Voice Area. Students will not be accepted into the School of Music until they have successfully auditioned.

Music scholarships are awarded based upon demonstrated performance abilities and departmental needs. Students who audition prior to March 1 will automatically be evaluated for scholarship consideration. Students who perform their entrance audition after March 1 may be considered for a music scholarship if funding is still available. This year's voice audition dates are:
- Thursday, January 26, 2023 - 10:00 am
- Monday, February 6, 2023 - 10:00 am
- Wednesday, February 22, 2023 - 10:00 am
Financial aid is available to undergraduates in the form of scholarships, loans, grants, and work-study programs. A music scholarship is one potential financial resource. Eastern Kentucky University offers a comprehensive program of financial aid to assist students in obtaining a college education. Students are encouraged to explore all available resources for financial assistance.
All transfer students must also complete and submit a Waiver Form.
All graduate students must also apply to the Graduate School.
